What to expect if you inquire about an ENACT study

What happens after you send a form, who gets in touch, and roughly when.

After you write to us

  1. You send a short form.

That does not put you in a study.

  2. We get in touch.

A coordinator will be in touch, usually within one business day, to offer a 15–30 minute call.

We call to see whether a screening visit makes sense.

  3. Screening.

Screening is several hours, in New Haven, and may include medical and psychological evaluation.

  4. The consent form.

Only some people who inquire are invited to go through the consent form with the study team.

Good to know

  • Study procedures are at no cost to the people in a study.
  • Psilocybin is not an FDA-approved medicine. Benefit is not guaranteed.
  • You can stop inquiring at any time by writing enact@enactresearch.com.

Stop contacting me

If you are a clinician referring a patient

We will acknowledge you within one business day. We will not contact your patient unless you indicated they expect to hear from us.

If you asked about a study that is not open yet

You are on the early-interest list. This is not an application and it does not reserve a seat. We will write if a study you flagged begins screening.

Not seeing a study for you?

Our studies run in person in New Haven, and each one is looking for something specific. Other universities and hospitals run psychedelic research too.

ClinicalTrials.gov is the U.S. government’s public list of every registered study. You can search it by condition and by where you live.
